Post by: Alexzang, etherium envoy on October 10, 2013, 01:21:37 PM
{sunforger} says you still pay any additional costs, but can you pay kicker or buy back costs?

You can pay additional costs when cheating cards in unless specifically stated otherwise.

EDIT: you can pay additional costs, but you cannot pay alternative costs.

Yes you can. No alternative costs like overload paying life for phyrexian mana, but additional costs like kicker, buyback, and sacrificing something ({fling}) can and/or must be paid.

10/1/2005   The card is cast from your library, not your hand. You choose modes, pay additional costs, choose targets, etc. for the spell as normal when casting it. Any X in the mana cost will be 0. Alternative costs can't be paid.

Sorry what I meant was the rulings said you have to pay additional costs, which I thought it meant reference to things like {altars reap}
