Will {The Abyss} kill hex proof creatures?

I think this will not work even though your opponent targets it. It's an ability you control

Yes hexproof say can't be targeted by a spell or ability your opponent controls

Answer equals no

702.11b "Hexproof" on a permanent means "This permanent can't be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control."

He won't end up losing his Hexproof creatures.
Funny enough, you can end up losing yours tho because you control {the abyss}

If I were reading the text on the card, without reading the errata, I would disagree with you as the word target is nowhere in the original text.

To me, the errata doesn't preserve the intent of the card, which is everyone buries a non-artifact creature on their turn.

It still targets so even the original text would not kill hexproof.

Sigh. It reads just fine if you ignore the word target?  Some day I'll learn to read. Of course the next day I'll forget again.

Hahaha, it happens to everyone. {The Abyss} should have read "At the beginning of each players upkeep, that player sacrifices a creature." It would have made it a lot simpler and made more sense.
