How competitive Izzet? Loooooo I couldn't resist. Izzet (the pun) as bad as I think it is? :))

And on the deck, maybe 3 Thassa?

Yeah I forgot to mention the sort of budgeted nature of the deck lol (edited).
I would absolutely incorporate Thassa otherwise.

And it's fairly good in my play group (whatever consolation that is). However I also went 1-2 at the prerelease with the same colors :/

(Appreciate the pun, btw)

Had to give {R}{U} a try. Love those colors

Perhaps a few {Ætherling}? He's not terribly expensive

Yeah i was thinking that. Is he considered a good enough bomb to belong in any deck with blue? I'm not all that... advanced as far as deck building

He literally does everything ever and bosses. Unkillable 8/1 unblockable? Seems good.

He may be 6 CMC, but if he resolves, you win

Is it ok that i have no counterspells?

I run counter spells only in SB with my Grixis control... But it really depends on your meta

Yea. Counter spells don't work well with cyclops. It works with your chimera, but that's it. The two cards don't really go well together like you'd expect.

And I was kind of debating having {Nivmagus Elemental} instead of blistercoil. Should that be a sideboard card for control mirror type stuff?

I haven't seen anyone use either of those cards really well. I brewed an interesting counter-growth deck pre-rotation, but that's it.

They aren't really popular in the meta

It's only good in a Mirror match where they counter I think?

Blistercoil was the best 1-drop i could think of that interacts with instants and sorceries well :/

You can try more of {Steam Augury} and add {Izzet Charm}, I've found that those cards are great for getting draws and they have the added benefit of putting stuff in the graveyard which can pump {Spellheart Chimera}.
