Title: Night veil Spector

If I have a  {Nightveil Specter} in play but it goes back to my hand can I still play the exiled cards from the spector

What if, in response to the opp. having played an exiled card, I {Voyage's End} it (the nightveil specter). Does his played card then become illegal, and therefore fizzle or has it reached a "safe zone" in the stack?

It's already on the stack. You would have had to bounce the Spector before the cast.
