So here's a weird one. Where do you guys play with your deck and yard, right side, left side, sideways? I'm curious to see what other players find comfortable (and if u play edh where do u put your general)
Usually on the left, but it depends on how much room there is. We play on small coffee tables sometimes.
Deck on the left with the grave left of it.
I know there is no rule but people who play with the permanents behind their lands drive me crazy. It makes reading the board much harder. I dont see why wizards never laid that out as a rule. Creatures should be across from each other so that you can see the battlefield clearly and declare your attackers and blocker easily. When you play with your lands up front it makes the play area non symmetrical and hard to read IMO.
Deck right immediately in front of deck graveyard field center hand left in a fan formation face down... Why do you ask?

Same, although I put a spin down in between my yard and deck. I also hate when people don't stack mana or tap things in different directions...
Deck is usually on my right, yard is right beside on the right of my deck, lands to the left of my deck, creatures in front of lands, artifacts and enchantments in front of my deck, and commander sits to the right of my yard
I put the deck on the right, with the yard to the left of that. My spindown goes above my deck. I place my hand facedown in a neatly stacked pile.
Deck to my right, sideways. Graveyard to the right of my deck, straight up, with the cards fanned so I can see everything. Exiled cards go to the left :( sad exiled cards lonely.
Deck to my left, graveyard below it with all names visible. Exiled cards are sideways under the yard
Deck set Vertical graveyard right above it (Yugioh style mainly.) exile to the right of graveyard creatures to the left of graveyard. Artifacts/global enchants to left of my creatures. lands in line with my deck on the left and I have a life counter between me and my opponent (using this app :) ) usually set above my creatures and next to their graveyard (we often play with decks on opposite sides of the table mine on my right their's on my left across)
Been trying to get into the habitat of showing my entire graveyard and having my deck sideways. but lunch tables and desks have only so much space.
Library on left top corner. Gy under library. Land on bottom of playmat seperated by color(I hate when people mix their land together). Creatures at top of mat for easy recognition. Life counter differs, I base it on where my opponents is so its easy to see both totals.
My deck is on the top right corner of my playmat, perpendicular to the edge of the mat and my 'yard in usually below it.
Coincidently, exactly how DotP have theirs set out, but my GY is tapped. Command Zone above deck, exile to the right of deck (also tapped). My hand stays in my left hand.
Yes, I am right handed. 😊
I play with it on the right, sideways. My graveyard is usually to the right of it, and exiling is even farther right. Commander is usually placed to right of my library :)

I love DotP setup! I'm probably going to start doing it.
I tape my deck into a slot underneath the table and have my cards hover about three inches off the ground my gy is literally buried under some dirt and exile is just face down on my feet...
I hold my hand in my left hand and manipulated the board with my right. My deck is on my right diagnally so the side of my deck faces me from the far righthand corner. My graveyard follows the same angle between my deck and I. The cards in my yard are layered so I can read the name of each card but take up minimal space. My exile pile is tapped at my bottom righthand corner below my yard. Lands in back and perminants in front and to the far left side for enchantments and other noninteractive permanents.
The angle of my yard and placement behind my deck makes it blatantly clear when my opponent checks my graveyard as they must lean forward and to my left to see it clearly. This was very relevant when innistrad was legal.
My deck is on my left. My graveyard is to the left of my deck, right alongside it. My exile is "tapped", right above my graveyard. My command zone...well I have not finished my EDH deck in real life so idk!
I split my deck into four piles and then put my playmat on top them. Then I reveal my hand and put it under my graveyard. Typically I draw from my tokens since my deck is saving up energy underneath my mat.
For some reason they won't let me do that in tourney. So I then put my deck on the right graveyard directly right of that. Lands beneath perms. I have an order in which I seperate those to. Yugioh habits die hard. P4 risette sleeves, p4 risette playmat. persona 4 bag and deckbox. Obsessive much.
Oh yeah totally forgot I keep my sideboard in my pocket in case things get desperate i can just pull it out and wham!
