I tried the young pyromancer, but it dies so easily, it wasn't as effective at spell heart, but I will consider lifebane in the side board just for decks with fleecemane lions in it

I really like this deck. I run grixis control as well and it's always really fun. My only problem with your deck is the main boarded essence scatter and negate. I think you should drop them for 3-4  {Syncopate} because it's a lot less situational.

that is a good point, I'm gonna play test it with the syncopates and see how it goes, I do like the essence scatters though, they've been very helpful against almost every deck

Another bit of advice that be helpful: run 2 or so  {Turn // Burn} in the main or side because it's an easy way to get rid of gods when they become creatures.

A one of {breaking//entering} could provide you with an extra win con if needed!

turn//burn is a good idea, I'm gonna put a couple in, but I'm not sure about breaking//entering, because there's nothing I would want to take out for that, and I have the memory adepts if I need to mill

I would try to fit in 3 {Dreadbore} and I would much rather run {Dreadbore} than {Essence Scatter}
