I am curious what you guys think, I'm making a u/w lifegain/control/heroic
And I'm kinda leaning toward {ordeal of heliod}
And less toward {divine favor}
Ordeal IMO would fit better in a control theme, but I feel that divine favor is good because you don't have to sacrifice it so it can buff up a blocker.

Yeah its a toughie.
Plus ordeal sacs itself so opponents may find it tough to decide to stop it vs something more threatining later
Ordeal all the way bc you put counters on your creature and its a great T2 drop on your {Favored Hoplite} then you gain 10 life on T3 that can usually just demoralize any opponent lol
If you're playing a suite of Heroic creatures that make themselves bigger just by targeting them with the ordeals, by all means, go for those first. There are all kinds of ways to abuse the Ordeals caring about the number of +1/+1 counters on the creature, and Heroic just makes it easier.
{bioshift} would pop two more heroics and would be silly with the counters also
Ordeal is definitely better
The ordeal works well in a green white deck. I was able to trigger it the turn I played it when putting it on {Staunch-Hearted Warrior} or {Centaur Battlemaster} which is a huge play. Or if you save up some extra mana for the turn it pops, you can drop a nasty {Voracious Wurm}
I feel like Order is a much more powerful card if you are building on a budget. If you are not on a budget, there are many, many better options!

If your not on a budget what other 2ish drop enchantment aura could I use that's worth making the best of {ethereal armor} and heroic was looking into {aqueous form}
I'm a huge fan of {Ordeal of Heliod}, that Lifegain is far to easy to obtain.

i mean heroic is already mechanic that puts out multiple counters, so its not like it will always take three attacks either.
is there anything else that abuses lifegain outside of {archangel of thune} ?

As mentioned above {Voracious Wurm} loves it!

Angelic accord was awesome with {Vault of the Archangel}
Not sure how well it will fly post rotation, also without {Rhox Faithmender} 4+ is a little harder to get.
Depends I. The deck tbh if you run Thunes ya you can easily get 4 life gain/turn and in that case it's great but remember in Theros there's a bit of enchantment hate so be careful
thanks everyone for all the insight, i hope to have the deck up in standard section by tomorrow.
Run orzhov! {Whip of erebos} lets you get that life each turn and gives you the chance to whip back an obzedaddy

I drafted a whip the other day. Thing is sick
Abuse lifegain? Um, {Trostani, Selesnya's Voice}!
what about {gift of orzhova} ?
