Hey, Piotr! Figured I'd bug you about a couple of rules things that I'd like to see implimented.
First off, is it possible to make the card rulings (the ones from Gatherer) copy/paste-able? A decent amount of Rules questions can be answered simply in the Gatherer rulings, and it could really help cut down on time if I could just copy/paste them from here. As I like to have the ruling with the answer, it's a little bit of a pain to have to see the ruling (on here), close the app, open safari, search the card, copy the ruling, come back on here, and paste it with a response.
Second, could you make the "Rules" (from Main Menu) search for words individually, instead of by exact phrases? I'll give you an example, to clarify.
There was a question recently where I had to let someone know that "Casting a spell" doesn't mean it has to resolve, and I wanted the ruling on that, since I figured a lot of people would be confused or argue against it without the ruling.
Now, here's the ruling that I needed:
601.2. (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=601.2.): To cast a spell is to take it from where it is (usually the hand), put it on the stack, and pay its costs, so that it will eventually resolve and have its effect. Casting a spell follows the steps listed below, in order. If, at any point during the casting of a spell, a player is unable to comply with any of the steps listed below, the casting of the spell is illegal; the game returns to the moment before that spell started to be cast (see rule 717, "Handling Illegal Actions"). Announcements and payments can't be altered after they've been made.
Now, I couldn't remember the exact number of the ruling, but I did know it had the words "cast" and "resolve" in it. But if I searched for "cast resolve" the search came up empty, since no ruling has the exact phrase "cast resolve" in it. So, I had to just search for "cast" and scroll until I found it. If it could have just searched for everything that has "cast" AND "resolve" in it, it would have helped cut down on time.
Now, these aren't huge things, and can be worked around, but I'd love to see them implimented. Or, if I'm just being dumb, and these features are already available somehow, just let me know!
The first one, you go to the ruling and hold down the ruling, and it copies. Then, just paste it in the post. You can do all that very easily, and it provides a link to the rules.

For the Gatherer rulings on specific cards? I'm talking about the rulings on cards themselves (can be accessed through the detail view on a card, and selecting its Rulings). I'm able to copy/paste rulings from the Comprehensive rules (as I did in my above post), but not the card specific Gatherer rules.

Okay, I misunderstood. That sounds like a handy idea!

I think it would be! There's plenty of times where the answer to a ruling is simply from its Gatherer rulings. Being able to quickly copy and paste them from the app would be pretty nice, I believe.
You don't need to open safari, just hit the gatherer button below the rulings.
:)
I added both to my TODO, but these may have to wait till iMtG II.

Unless someone pays off my mortgage, yes ;)
Will people who have "bought it all" and/or are of patron status and such have it free or at a discount?

Will iMTG 1 stop when iMTG 2 comes out? Also could you give a ballpark estimate on how much iMTG 2 would cost? Would it be a regular cost (like monthly) or a one time?

Upgrades (for Bosses) are not supported by Apple App Store, I'm afraid.
Patron status is granted separately from the app, so no problem with that one.

iMtG 1 will remain in the App Store, it will not stop on your device either. It will be supported with database upgrades.
iMtG 2 will be iOS 7+. As for the pricing, the future is not clear. Any opinions? ;)

are most of your TODOS going into that? (Or atleast the ones on top?)
The ones on top, one at a time ;)
As for price, if your looking to pay off your mortgage, $10k each outa help. If your looking for straight up sales, no more than $5. I would personally pay more (because this app is amazing) but anything higher would turn away possible purchases. Or you could be a total badass and make it free :))
iMtG is priced $9.99 and it sells, why would I want to sell next gen app for half of that price?

Are you thinking of making iMtG 2 a free download with a "Buy it all" option, like the first? I'd definitely drop 10 dollars on a new app to keep my boss status.
Honestly, I'll be getting it whether its free to download or not. Just curious about your plans right now.

Me too. And since I'm a patron does that mean I get a 1$ discount or something? Lol

It crossed my mind ;)
Honestly I think you'll attract more customers with a free download, like this one. I never would have downloaded this app at first if it had cost $10 off the bat, but after the free download, and seeing the features available, making the plunge to paying for buy it all was easy, and I'm normally very reluctant to pay money for phone apps. I can count the number of apps I've given money to on one hand (3) and every single one of them had a free download/trial first.
Will we be able to transfer the card database from I to II?
