Title: Sacrifice vs. Hexproof help
Post by: Mattao19 on September 29, 2013, 08:48:27 PM
I made a new standard GW Hexproof deck and its going great except when I play Dimir with their  {Far // Away}s and other dumb sac a creature spells.

So how can I not get destroyed by this? I know obviously I can have more than one creature on the field and sac the worse creature but are there any spells that help (standard legal also GW)

You put down an uncracked Fetchland and when they make you sac, you fetch your {Dryad Arbor} and sac that instead. (Reid Duke style, I watched him play, on YouTube, for 4 hours yesterday with his {G}{W} Hexproof)

No but really, maybe a creature with flash so {Boon Satyr} or put {Savage Summoning} in the deck. I am actually making the same deck right now and my game plan for it is to have a mana dork out ({Sylvan Caryatid} or {Elvish Mystic}) to sac when needed. The other option is to give up on the deck and send me the cards :P

Reid Duke inspired me too!!! I watched his matches and wow it was sick!!

And actually that's a cool idea playing flash creatures never thought of that thanks bud

Yerp. I am actually trying to make his deck right now as my first deck in Modern. I might have to skimp on the lands though...they total something like $500, not to mention the $100 between the playsets of {Kor Spiritdancer} and {Daybreak Coronet}.

You could add a creature that benefits you when it dies. Just a suggestion, but a weak one

Maybe that thing that scavenges for {0}?

{sigarda host of herons}
he said standard. Innistrad block + M13 rotated out. This is why I'm looking into modern

I played bogles at GP Detroit and got to meet Reid Duke he is my magic hero. I built bogles like a day after worlds and got my {Kor spiritdancers} for .50 and my {Horizon canopy}s for 15 bucks
