Title: {Erayo}
Post by: Skyshadow731 on September 29, 2013, 11:57:14 AM
So I'm playing a three way and one of the guys cast {Erayo,soratami ascendent} ok so a couple of turns go by and one of the guys cast {armed//dangerous} than the guy with Erayo counters both. Does Erayo flip?

I assume your asking if Erayo will flip because of {armed//dangerous} possibly being two spells. It will not. They only need to cast one counter spell. {armed//dangerous} is only one spell.

Even when fused, it counts as one spell, with the characteristics of both halves.

That being said, only two spells would have been cast, which is not enough to flip him.

I thought that armed and dangerous was two spells. Ok that makes sense. But if two spells are cast and they are both countered does she flip

Yes he will! A spell "being cast" is not the same as a spell resolving. Here's a ruling for you, on the term "cast":

601.2. (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=601.2.): To cast a spell is to take it from where it is (usually the hand), put it on the stack, and pay its costs, so that it will eventually resolve and have its effect. Casting a spell follows the steps listed below, in order. If, at any point during the casting of a spell, a player is unable to comply with any of the steps listed below, the casting of the spell is illegal; the game returns to the moment before that spell started to be cast (see rule 717, "Handling Illegal Actions"). Announcements and payments can't be altered after they've been made.
