Maining {Anger of the gods}. Works with omen speaker. Not so much young pyro.

Anger still kills {Omenspeaker}, but the main reason I don't want to maindeck it is that it kills {Spellheart Chimera}, which is one of the best cards in the deck.

Could you possibly run melek. He's not bad with young pyromancer

No Guttersnipe?

{Melek, Izzet Paragon} is too much mana and doesn't make a big enough splash. I'm considering running {Guttersnipe} in the sideboard, but usually turns three and four I'm wholly preoccupied with countering and burning.

No, omen speaker followed by boardwipe is good. ETB effect
Misread chimera.True true.

The ETB effect is good, but not as good as saving that two mana to mess with their turn. I'd take a {Magma Jet} or {Stymied Hopes} over it for sure.

{magma jet} might work just as well, but not for that reason.

I would say magma jet works better since it still scries two but deals two damage instead of omenspeaker's one power
