Title: A Deck without Lands
Post by: Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth on September 28, 2013, 07:00:37 PM
I thought I would take up a challenge so I want to make a deck without lands. Please help by suggesting cards and strategies. Don't worry about legality or price, I will probably proxy a lot of it and use it as a casual deck among my friends. After I get a good Idea as how to do this I am going to start a deck in casual where I will be taking suggestions. Thanks.

{Goblin Charbelcher} decks don't run lands and are mega fun.

Good idea. I was thinking land wrathing would work really well too. I just have to figure out how I am going to get my mana. It will probably have to be a combination of one-pop spells like {Dark Ritual}, {Seething Song} and {Black Lotus} and reliable sources like {Sol Ring}, {Chromatic Lantern} and Mana-Dorks.

{Elvish Spirit Guide} and {Simian Spirit Guide} seem like musts here.

Also {Lotus Pedal} and {Chrome Mox}. Xaol has an excellent article on his Belcher No Land deck in the Article section. That could probably offer some ideas on what to use.

Here's a deck I saw on Tappedout.net a little while ago that you might want to take a look at:

{Memnite} Zero cost and mana producing artifacts and affinity plus mana spells is the way I'd go. {Seething song}

So I am putting this deck on the back burner while I am trying to build two other decks, both Selesnya Hexproof, one Standard and one Modern. Thanks for all the ideas though guys! I am thinking when I make this deck I will probably do Storm or affinity.

Not in casual...
You wouldn't be able to make the deck outside of casual.

I posted a deck that uses it in modern
3 things:
1) 12 damage won't win you a game
2) that's not all lands
3) I'd recommend a {Reliquary Tower} or something so that when you draw a third of your deck you don't just have to discard it.

It's not completely all lands but I've been wanting to make a {Land's Edge} deck.

{lightning storm}

Edit: also {seismic assault}. Which is better then the one you mentioned. But for higher mana intensity

Use all three for higher chances of getting your pieces out.
