Title: Mistcutter Hydra
Post by: Jdogtoocool on September 28, 2013, 08:24:45 AM
{Mistcutter Hydra}

Can my opponent target my hydra as it comes onto the battlefield before the counters are put unto it? With something like a {doom blade}?

No as it enters with the counters already on it so that it bypasses the 0 toughness status check

Well while it is true that the creature comes to the battlefield with the counters, I don't see the difference if you are using  {Doom Blade}, since it kills the hydra regardless of the counters.

Unless you are talking about  {Vastwood Hydra}.

True but for doom blade it should be obvious as the creature only has protection from blue and it's in the battlefield the can't be countered only matters when dealing with counter spells so for doom blade hydra is a valid target

If players got priority before the hydra got its counters, it would die for having 0 toughness as a state-based action.

Has anyone used bio shift to kill an opponent's creature? That thought just occurred to me lol. Hydra killer, but you'd be 1:2-ing yourself

It would have the counters,  {Bioshift} is a cheap way to keep them though

Bioshift won't work, it's blue.
