Title: Plainswalker hexproof?

Hey guys my friend gave and I were talking about nico bolas and Darksteel colossus and I was wondering if I put lets say swift foot boots and DC would nico bolas be able to affect it or not?

No, Nicol Bolas cannot target him. He can be sacrificed by his final ability, but not targeted. Nicol Bolas is still considered under your control

Could you equip {Paradice mantle} to Gideon while he's a creature and tap him for mana as a planeswalker?

Unfortunately, no. The equipment would fall off as soon as he's no longer a creature.

Why would you not be able to equip it while he's a creature, and then tap him for the mana? Would be stupid, but I don't see why it isn't possible.

You could do that. He said "as a planeswalker" though, so I assumed he wanted to keep the Mantle on him. Sorry if that caused any confusion.
