Title: Voice of Flicjering
Post by: Mlerner12 on September 23, 2013, 06:03:51 PM
So if my opponent has a {Voice ofResergence} and swings with it, can I do a put-in-hand thing giving him the token, then can I target the token? My understanding is that as soon as I cast it he gets the token, then in between casting-and-resolving (Whatever it is) I choose targets and the token has resolved.

Okay.
But could I target the token?

In order to cast a spell you have to name it's target. Not the other way around.

Order to casting
Announce spell
Declare mode (ex. {azorious charm} has 3 choices)
Declare target(s)
Determine total cost of spell with any increases (ex. {thalia, gaurdian of thraben}'s effect)
Determine cost decreases (ex. {goblin electromancer})
Pay the mana cost
Cast the spell (put it on the stack)

Okay, I thought it was the other way around. Thanks, Kaleo and Noblellama!
