Title: Heroic + thrive
Post by: Noblellama on September 23, 2013, 03:41:16 PM
So it's not standard but {thrive} and anything heroic looks awesome.

Comments, ideas etc?

Bloodrush is not a spell of any kind, it's an action. It cannot be countered either. So {Reverberate} doesn't work with it

If you reverb a thrive, what happens to x?

If you copy a spell that is on the stack, all values are copied with it (including X values).

Noteworthy: that's only for stuff on the stack. X=X while on the stack. X=0 if you copy something with X on the battlefield (or other non-stack zone)

I know. I'd be reverberating {Thrive}, the Bloodrush is simply for the glory of Gruul

What about the dork in Theros that adds mana equal to your devotion to green?

Hate to ruin the fun but I don't think reverb will trigger heroic, as the copy is not cast, just created on the stack. Thrive is awesome with this though.

Oh snap... you're right

From mtg salvation:
"Heroic abilities won't trigger when a copy of a spell is created on the stack or when a spell's targets are changed to include a creature with a heroic ability."
