I like this a lot. My only suggestion would be to replace Lay of the Land with Experiment One or Elvish Mystic. More creatures that can be discarded with the Troll or eaten by the Ooze

{Thoughtseize}
It's either all or nothing with that card, if I run it, it better be accompanied by {Duress}. You don't just run a partial discard package. I've debated it, I can't find room for 7 slots.

That's a pretty good point, what about {Sylvan Caryatid}? It essentially fills the same role and feeds our friends mentioned. I want to keep that slot as a mana fixer, and {Elvish Mystic} doesn't quite get there. Although Mystic fit's in the curve really nice. Hmm...

Sylvan Caryatid is a good option. Maybe Gyre Sage if you want a little more use late game.

Trying out {Reaper of the Wilds}, this card seems nuts!

I love it! It protects itself, filters the deck, and with 9 removal spells it scrys more often than not. I do recommend {underworld connections} due to it being very reliable card draw

Maybe over {Read the Bones} in the sideboard. It's really only there to help race control. I tried main boarding Bones but more often than not it was a dead card. Definitely not bad in the sideboard though.

Current iteration. Fine tuned near perfectly for my meta. Mainboard beats most, sideboard fixes holes. I love this deck =]

How'd this work for you? I'm finding myself building toward a similar looking list currently.

What? No {boulder fall}?

Seems to me like the doom blades should be sb. I don't necessarily agree with having to run 7 discard spells to justify using thoughtsieze but to each their own. This deck is pretty sweet looking otherwise.

I'm loving the deck, the past 2 weeks I've been testing a slightly different build for GP Albequerque though. Got over my stubbornness and I'm final running {Thoughtseize}. Pretty sure I want 4 mainboard though.

Mainboard Blades work fine, been heavily debating whether or not to swap them out for {Ultimate Price} though. May run Price at the GP. Just looking forward to getting my Lillys and Deathrites signed to be honest =].

I have recently converted to the cult of thoughtseize as well and am looking to pick some up. Haha
