So what's everyone's opinion on the gods now that the prerelease has happened?
Personally, I love them. So flavorful and so powerful. I opened {Thassa, God of the Sea} and {Erebos, God of the Dead} and thought both were awesome.
I think {Erebos, God of the Dead} is the best. Card advantage in black is huge, just look at Bob.

Erebos alone let me go 3-1 at my mourning prerelease every match I won I get it to creature form n beat face
I have a question how does the "enchantment creature" work ???
Do you mean the bestow cost on those enchantment creatures? Or just why they made enchantment creatures?
No like with the gods what does it mean when they're not a creature? They just can't attack or block?
They're just an enchantment with the abilities and stuff basicly untill your devotion reaches the right lvl then they become an enchantment creature. Other then that I'm not sure just cause I'm not trying to over think this set it's to much fun lol
I killed 2 people by attacking with both gods at the same time. It was.......godly.
That's... Disgusting...
I had a game that stalled till turn 34 or something rediculous like that, I killed him with {fanatic of Mogis}. That was fun.
I gotta say I'm really intrigued by the idea of devotion cuz I can think of ons of ideas they could expand on this such as cards that affect your devotion. Weaken or strengthen it. And many other affects. Like idk
Destroy opponents creature if your devotion to (color) is higher than their devotion to (color)
If they're enchantments, sins they're "enchantment creatures", can you still activate tap abilities?
Only if your devotion makes them creatures I believe

My friend opened those two too, he's trading Erebos to me though :D
When I played Two-Headed last night, I played a fast-running Blue/White with Elspeth being one of my win conditions, and I stalled for a while until my partner who was playing Mono-Black could get enough devotion to trigger Erebos into being a creature.....and it was almost for sure a win every time. We went 4 and 2 :)
I say {heliod god of the sun} is a lot more powerful than he looks. And what's a nutrition battle?

Only creatures get hit by summoning sickness, and he is only a creature with devotion, so it is a situational question
{Purphoros, God of the Forge} I think is amazing. Evan Erwin said it best:
You wanna board wipe? Ok that's cool I'll just play this {Ash Zealot} (take 2) oh and this {Chandra's Phoenix} (take 2) and I'll swing for 10 more.

"A nutrition" battle? Are you sure you don't mean "An attrition" battle? A battle/war of attrition is a battle in which pressure is constantly applied, grinding away unstopping until an outcome is reached.

{W}{B} Preach it :D
I think {Heliod, God of the Sun} is very powerful, given the right shell to go with. I see him at his best with {Supreme Verdict} to create tokens after wiping.
Can these guys be Commanders?

Can these guys be Commanders?
They sure can. They are legendary creatures, as wonky as they may be, even with their creature-ness being dependent on devotion.
I think that {Purphoros, God of the Forge} is the best at what it does. Tied for second are {Erebos, God of the Dead} and {Heliod, God of the Sun}. A close third is {Thassa, God of the Sea}, and dead last is {Nylea, God of the Hunt}. Sorry Nylea, U BAD.

Groovy! Thank you.
