I was playing last night at FNM and someone put a {Detention Sphere} on my {Rhox Faithmender}. Later in the same game I played another {Rhox Faithmender} and the guy said it would be automatically exiled because there was a {Detention Sphere} already exiling a {Rhox Faithmender}. I argued that because it was a triggered "enters the battlefield" ability and not a static ability both of the Faithmenders would have to be on the field when the Sphere was cast for it to exile both of the Faithmenders. Who was right?
You are correct. It exiled all permanents with the same name. If it's not on the field when the sphere hits the field, then it's safe.
You. 💥🔨 Case closed
Ya, what the guy was saying didn't make sense to me but he claimed that other judges had told him that that was how it worked. It didn't matter in the end though because I had a {Blind Obedience} and a {Sanguine Bond} on the field and he had two life so all I had to do is cast a spell and extort.
Whoa, Agrus, is that an infinite combo?

No, you're looking for {sanguine bond}+{exquisite blood}. Or {exquisite blood}+{Vizkopa Guildmage}
