Tell me about your game!
Where are you playing?
What is the coolest card you pulled from a booster tonight? It's abilities?
What color did you choose?
Me:
I'm playing at Baseball Cards and Memorabilia. I haven't pulled my deck yet, but am planning on choosing white.
That's all folks!
Should this be moved to draft/sealed?
Played BUG, play a creature then counter your **** lol it was meh I went 2-3 bc of Minotaurs and stupid Planeswalkers!!!!!
I'm going for Blue and hoping for greatness tonight!
Hey guys!
So, about posting my forum in the wrong section; My bad! I just made my account today so I'm sure to make a few mistakes here and there.
As far as how my game went, I had a great time. I won 2/4 games which isn't too shabby if I do say so myself. ;)
I ended up making a Boros deck. The main abilities where +1/+1, Bestow, and Destroy to gain life cards. I also added in a few giants and defenders to add a little spice to the deck.
Did I mention I play mean?
Chose white, slotted in green. Made a great deck, won 3 out of 4 games. The deck had so much power and some how I got mana screwed on the round I lost.
I went 2-0, 1-2, 2-0, 2-0.
I wish we played more limited at the place I play. It's normally only constructed standard.
I have a solo @ 11am, I picked green.. 6pm tonight I have 2hg picked black, partner is red. And tomorrow in a 2hg I picked white, partner is black..
Will have to see what we open to see what we do.
My PreRe is @12:00! So excited! I'm going red, hopefully get to slot white and make an aggressive deck. Currently listening to Limited Resources' 5 hour podcast on the commons and uncommons of theros.
Does anyone have a favorite card they pulled?
My top two favorites are;
'Curse of the swine' it's a X colorless and two island mana drop.
The ability is: Exile X target creatures. For each creature exiled this way, its controller puts a 2/2 green boat creature onto the battlefield.
Isn't that silly? So, say your playing a green beast deck and your opponent has like three 6/6+ creatures? Nah man, their pigs now.
There is also a one drop colorless unicorn (Thats right, UNICORN!!) that you can tap for one colorless mana, pretty neat.
And a 'Horse Fish' creature type..... Not Seahorse.... 'Horse Fish'.... Wtf?
(Those aren't my most powerful cards I got (Although I didn't get any Gods, *Sheds a tear*.) But the cards I got a big kick out of.)

Boat tokens? 0.o
I want all teh boat tokens!
I picked the path of honor. "White" went 3/3 no packs.
But I can tell you the format is very tempo based any bounce or counter can mean the game. A well timed {disperse} or {vipers kiss} before monstrosity is the key.
UR won the night with hard counters, burn, a good scary mechanic and a couple of big threats! That kraken WINS games.
I was able to get {ashen rider} online twice and both times he won the game with some simple protection of {gods willing}
Another thing I noticed being a problem for me was the ordeals. Especially the white one. It is really hard to come back from a ten lifegain swing, watch out!
Enchantment hate is a good thing!
{annul} was the real champ of the night being able to counter any bestow creature for a measly {U}
Hope this helps all of you who didn't go last.
I can't wait for my prerelease tomorrow at noon. Picked white and run that and whatever other color I pull that is strongest.

Very helpful! Thanks :D
Favorite cards I pulled, would have to go with huge 10/10 colossus, I got him out on the turn I swung for the win. 8 and 10 mana is such a stretch, and I even had what little amount of ramp I was able to slot in (hexproof defender guy) and extra lands to give him half a chance.
However the guys that won't games would be the heroic guys that add counters for targeting being played with the white ordeal is fantastic, it gets those 3 counters very quickly and then up 10 life, puts you out of reach of most decks so you can just go all out and swing for the hills.
Also those nymph dryads are great.
6 rares were:
{rageblood shaman}
{fabled hero}
{nighthowler}
{temple of mystery}
2x {bow of nylea}
Chose blue. Got 6th with u/g deck. {Shipbreaker Kraken} was an absolute beast each time I played him. Got {Thoughtseize} and {Xenagos, the Reveler} in my 2 prize packs. Absolutely stoked!
Got 4th with {R}{W}. Opened 5 playable rares, no mythics. ({celestial archon}, {gift of immortality}, {soldier of the pantheon}, {anger the gods}, and {fabled hero}. I once played {flamespeaker adept}, next turn {spark jolt} x2 and {titan's strength}. Swing with an 11/4 first strike.

whopps! I meant BOAR also the unicorn is a three drop! My bad!
I opened a boar token, then asked the judge if that means I automatically get 1st place (that's a lie, although I did ask the people sitting near me).
{Bident of Thassa} and {Prognostic Sphinx} made for some incredible deck management.
And pulled 2 {Thoughtseize} so I'm happy
Sorry imtg keeps crashing when I try entering cards so can't tag cards right now..
Solo (green) I pulled 2 bows and a fleecemain lion
In 2hg (black) pulled whip and elspeth and b/u planeswalker, partner (red) pulled thoughtsieze and red god.
Have another 2hg match today.. See how that goes
Pulled an ASHIOK! MY LIFE IS COMPLETE! :DDDDDD
I played azorious heroic flyers, orzhov heroic, an esper control. The last one was amazing; two {hero's downfall}, three {mnemonic wall}s, and {elspeth, sun's champion}. The deck was basically stall and draw till I get elspeth with frost tap effects and bleeding effects along the way.
Played BUG control at the midnight release went 2-3, and Esper today went 3-2 (came in 8th! Pulled an Ashiok!! Which won me all 3 matches lol
Got a {Fleecemane Lion} in the prize pool then traded {Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver} for a {Scavenging Ooze} (took a $5 hit but Ashiok will go down and I need my Scoozey!!)
Pig tokens are adorable :D
Had a lot of fun this weekend. Didn't do as well as I'd hoped, but I played good people and had a great time, so I have nothing to complain about :)
Friday at midnight I went Black. My seeded pack was generous and gave me the God, so I was pretty happy. Splashed in some red for magma jet and 2 rages. Ended up 3-2-1 after 6 matches, and got a single pity pack for a prize...containing the red God, which made me feel like a winner.
Saturday my path was Red. Pulled Nylea, the green God, and ended up with a pretty decent Gruul deck. Also pulled a Thoughtsieze and a foil whip, but couldn't play black. Ended up 4-2, though (got beat in two real nail-biters, great matches) and ended up with 2 generous pity packs again. Scry land + foil arbor colossus, and the w/b mythic that exiles stuff when it both enters and dies.
Tonight, path was blue. I played Gruul again, because my blue was garbage, my red was insane, and green was full of tricks. Ended up 3/2, sadly, but one of my losses was to my friend who ended up in 1st, so feel better about it :P 3 pity packs this time - junk, junk, and a second red god.
I am the master of the pity packs.
I felt like a real winner about it, too, until my friend who came in first opened Xenagos + foil Daxos in one pack, then in the very next pack, another Xenagos.
Over 3 prereleases most notable pulls 2 {Elspeth, Sun's Champion}, {Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver}, {Fleecemane Lion}, {Heliod, God of the Sun}
Also got {Whip of Erebos} and 2 {Bow of Nylea}
