Dragonshift Defender 60 cards, 0 sideboard 2 {Simic Guildgate} 3 {Mountain} 1 {Izzet Guildgate} 7 {Island} 2 {Gruul Guildgate} 4 {Forest} 1 {Steam Vents} 20 lands 2 {Dragon Egg} 4 {Hover Barrier} 1 {Zhur-Taa Ancient} 4 {Wall of Frost} 4 {Axebane Guardian} 4 {Gatecreeper Vine} 4 {Nivix Cyclops} 23 creatures 2 {Mizzium Skin} 3 {Counterflux} 1 {Chromatic Lantern} 3 {Dragonshift} 3 {Giant Growth} 2 {Mana Bloom} 2 {Lay of the Land} 1 {Into the Wilds} 17 other spells Sideboard

So this is a post rotation idea I had based around dragonshift. At the moment it's only made from cards that I actually have but any advice is welcome.

Not to familiar with decks like this but {sylvan caryatid} would def fit

Love it. Nice use of defenders and dragonshift. Might post suggestions after I drive home :)

If you can somehow pull it off, {utvara hellkite} would be amazing

Issue with that is, if he overloaded dragon shift, Utvara's abilities would change as well :/

CMC is a little high but
{Mnemonic Wall} (its in Theros too) could be used

Maybe needs the new 8 mana 10/10 artifact dude. You have enough ramp to play him. Consider it an alternate win con?

Thanks for the responses everyone, good to hear some constructive feedback. I'm thinking I might switch out some spells to use  {Teleportal} in combo with cyclops as an alt win con. Thoughts?

Just had a geeze at sylvan caryatid, looks like it would fit really well in this deck. The artifact creature is a 10/10 defender for 8cmc with monstrosity 10 for 10mana. Gains trample and can attack when it becomes monstrous. Intense.

That's 16 mana.... That's more than hard casting {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn}. It's just NOT possible. Even without the overload, that's 11 mana.

Play the theros Blue-Green prophet (3GU) 2/3. Each opponent's upkeep, untapped all creatures and lands you control. Creature spells you cast have flash. Amazing synergy with Axebane and mana bloom.

Axe bane defenders will generate a TON of mana. Toss in fireballs like {clan defiance}

+1 karma if you really really love this idea :)
