Title: 2x Thorncaster Sliver
Post by: Mattao19 on September 15, 2013, 11:26:54 PM
If I have 2x  {Thorncaster Sliver} in play do my slivers deal 2 damage or just one to target creature or player?

They will do 2 damage. Each instance will trigger separately:

112.2c (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=112.2c): An object may have multiple abilities. If the object is represented by a card, then aside from certain defined abilities that may be strung together on a single line (see rule 702, "Keyword Abilities"), each paragraph break in a card's text marks a separate ability. If the object is not represented by a card, the effect that created it may have given it multiple abilities. An object may also be granted additional abilities by a spell or ability. If an object has multiple instances of the same ability, each instance functions independently. This may or may not produce more effects than a single instance; refer to the specific ability for more information.

Just remember that it is 2 instances of 1 so you can split every point of damage as you see fit instead of having to kill a 1/1 with 2 points of damage

Run a playset of {Thorncaster Sliver}s and a playset of {Hellrider}s! I attack, you take 48 and then have to deal with my creatures ;)

Good thing to keep in mind because they trigger separately. Therefore you may choose your targets for each instance

Haha, there you go.

And that's 8 more damage per mana sliver should you swing with them as well

True but unless truly necessary I would not attack with mana slivers
