Title: Infinite tokens
Post by: Poof on March 11, 2012, 09:17:44 PM
Xenograft naming humans avacyns collar and puresteel paladin with some spirits.  You can keep saccing a spirit token with a collar and it just produces another

Toss in a {Requim Angel} for good measure.

I know this isn't infinite but it's awfully funny:

{Doubling Season}
{Parallel Lives}
{Paradox Haze}
{Mirror-Sigil Sergeant}

Start doing the math... I dare you   ;)

Hard mode is having a play set of each on the field (except for the Rhino) and then play the Sergeant (one). And see how many you'll have at in 2 turns.

Dare excepted!

T1: 1+1*2*2*2=9
T2: 9+9*2*2*2=81
T3: 81+81*2*2*2= 729
n=9^T
Where n is the number of sergeants on the battlefield after resolution
T is the number of turns passed.

HARD MODE!?!?!  Wait til I get off the can! 🚽 then I'll bust some MAD algebra skillz

Okay, HARD MODE;

4x{Doubling Season}
4x{Parallel Evolution}
4x{Paradox Haze} (I'll assume you are the enchanted one)
In play, cast one rhino on main phase. What happens two turn later (assuming no one dies in the mean time)

1st turn
Upkeep1 - 1*32*32+1= 1025
Upkeep2 - 1025*32^2+1025= 1050625
Upkeep3 - 1050625*32^2+1050625= a lot... I'll be back with a solution for an arbitrary number of turns.

I want to use xenograft in some way this is the best I've come up with so far.  What creature type would get the best benefit in the current standard.  I'm thinking have everything be spirits and become hexproof with the captain any other xenograft ideas?

1st turn
Upkeep1 - 1*32*32+1= 1025
Upkeep2 - 1025*32^2+1025= 1050625
Upkeep3 - 1050625*32^2+1050625= a lot... I'll be back with a solution for an arbitrary number of turns.

Okay, so by the end of the first turn, you'd have 1,103,812,890,624 copies and one original {Mirror-Sigil Sergeant}
By the beginning of the second turn's pre-combat main phase, you'd have a whopping 1,218,402,897,509,918,212,890,624 tokens and one original Sergeant on your team. (~1.22 Septillion, or 1.22 million million million million Sergeants)

n = (1025)^4T
where n is the total number of Sergeants

Hope you brought enough tokens.   ;D
T is the number of turns passed

Hmm... I think you made a mistake there. I've got... Oh wait.
Heh. Forgot to trigger that {Parallel Lives} for the final time.  ::)
Okay lets fix up the equation and.... Yeah. You're right!
I concede.  ;D

My Algebra teacher in middle school would have been ashamed of me. :-[
Hahahahaha.
