I'll try to explain this quickly. My question boils down to her ability to give counters. Does it trigger during combat before damage resolves?
Simple example: Let's say my opponent is down to 5 life. I have a 3/4 Archangel of Thune (I'm not sure how to link cards, I'm sorry) and a 1/1 creature both attacking (4 damage total). Would her lifelink trigger during combat, proc her ability to give counters and make the 1/1 become a 2/2 before the second creature hits? (Creating at least 5 damage and winning the game)
All damage is simultaneous, so your scenario wouldn't happen.
However, if you have a creature with first strike and lifelink (like {Fiendslayer Paladin} from the same set, fancy that), it will deal damage and gain life in the first strike damage step, triggering the angel and putting counters on your creatures before the normal damage step.
Fantastic! Thanks for the response! I actually had a Fiendslayer Paladin when the scenario happened, haha. I should have used it in the example. This was very helpful.
