To explain: {Court Homonculus} is naturally a 1/1. I have another artifact out, making him a 2/2. I also have {Tempered Steel}, making him a 4/4. Shock hit him for 2, and then your instigator hit 1 first strike, total 3. then the regular hit happens and both die

Did u block first strike or regular
both, he was effectively a 4/2 when you swung, after first strike effectively a 4/1, thus they both die
