Title: Dance of the dead
Post by: Ramusvincini on September 11, 2013, 10:30:46 AM
If a creature that I enchant with {Dance of the Dead} has undying and the dance of the dead is deatroyed causing me to sac the creature it was attached to would the creature come back with a +1/+1 counter on it withouth the aura on It? Or does the +1/+1 from  {Dance of the Dead} count as a counter? If it comes back would the same thing happen if the creture is just destroyed or saced on its own?

With undying like  {Strangleroot Geist} it's only IF there is a +1/+1 counter on it so if you put that enchantment the creature just gets +1/+1 and therefore there is no counter. So the  {Strangleroot Geist} would indeed come back from the graveyard, but this time WITH a +1/+1 counter

Your wording on that first part was weird but you got the right answer. Undying happens if the creature moves from the battlefield to the graveyard and has no +1/+1 counters at that time. Buffs that give +1/+1 are different than counters.
