I have some friends that have banned infect decks and refuse to play against my sliver deck. Anyone else have group rules among their friends?
No proxy swords of any kind, I got killed once by a card that had "sword of war and peace" written on the back of it.
Anything goes just no infect. Only causw the game shortens and we like long games. That and there is no mulligan penelty but they must have a show there hand and explain why they mulligan
No reanimateor. Ever. Period.

D= Where I am at, that's a rule specific to me. Even after Graveborn came out and other people started to play reanimate they still didn't let me play it. I don't know why either because if they can stay alive, the deck usually runs out of steam 4-5th turn. :P
Other than that; we really don't allow proxy anything although there is no rule. Except when someone makes a new deck idea and they want to test it out, then of course we let them play with proxies for a few days. :)
No commander cards. Haha. Those guys are op
Anything goes, as long as decks are Vintage legal. Personally, I'd like to ban {Balancing Act}
We've banned proxies and un-set cards. And cards that are (literally, not the ability) hellbent so that you can tell what they are. That's about it.

I think that is the no. 1 card in your personal meta, isn't it Jester?
In my playgroup you're only allowed to play with {Chaos Orbs}, the power nine, and {Memnites}.
Man, sucks to be you😔

Heck yea {Memnites}!!!! 8)
With my group the only rules are that your opponent must give permission for a takeback and if both players get horrible hands they can both take a free mulligan. Otherwise it's basically use common sense, don't be a dick* and have fun!
*Being a dick is NOT running a certain deck. Being a dick is acting in poor sportsmanship.

The host of our card night only has three different decks. One of them stars said Act.
I love to bust out my {Chaos Orb}.
My group hates my sliver deck, but the only rules we have are we can not spend more then ten dollars on one individual card, and we get 2 free mulligans but only if we have under 3 lands, then we go to 5 cards and stay there for all following mulligans, but they must show on the last ones.

No more than $10 on a card? That is a tough one.

Why? Some older cards won't be under ten dollars. Unless you all pool your money together and by the cards as a group for communal cards, then I don't see how they would know...

One of the great things about Magic, is you can't "buy" a win. Sure OP cards are pricy, but I frequently use budget decks to smack down decks worth >$1000. It's all in how you build it.
Eh, it's not to bad actually. Still lots of good cards out there. And it Makes it so we don't go crazy with $$

That's why I bent all my power 9 cards so they can be in poor shape and not worth much
OMG why didn't I think of that?! I just gave mine to this kid on the street. :( Oh well.
My friends won't let me use my ninja deck. They used to hate my mill deck but now half of them use emrakul making mill pointless.
