Title: Massacre wurm
Post by: Cipher89 on September 08, 2013, 10:11:40 AM
Can I stack  {Massacre Wurm} first ability before his second ability resolves like using  {Cloudshift}

You can stack the first ability, yes. All the opponents creatures would get -4/-4 until end of turn. I'm not sure I understand why it has to stack before his second ability starts triggering though. What exactly are you trying to do with his abilities?

I'd say he wants to kill a {Balefire Dragon} or {Species Gorger} by bouncing the Wurm twice after it ETB.

If you are trying to make 4 life loss per creature unfortunately it is not possible. It is a trigger when their creature dies. So you for a 2/2 creature. It would ETB it would get -2/-2. State checked, it dies, trigger happens for 2 life loss. If you cloudshift, more things will get -2/-2 but that creature will have already died and the trigger can not be satisfied. With a 3/3 of 4/4 the trigger will only see it die on the second -2/-2 wave and the 2 life trigger still only exists once since it is only there once during the time of death

^ I think the point is that he'll be killing all opponents' creatures with 4 toughness or less, doing 2 damage to their controllers for each.
I don't see why that wouldn't work.

And yeah you would have been able to put out at least 1 {Blood Artist} by then i would imagine

What I'm trying to do is kill my opponents creatures whil having them lose 3 and I gain one per creature. Just a more fun way then  {Killing Wave} and  {Blood Artist}

Well the way it is you dont have to cloudshift at all. The first will trigger when it enters all the creatures will die because of it then the 2nd goes off when creatures die.

But the cloudshifting guarantees more opponent's creatures will die if any of them have 3 or 4 toughness. More deaths, more damage, more health ( {Blood Artist} )

The -2/-2 will stack the life loss won't, introducing a blood artist will cause more life lose but you can't double the life loss on massacre worm. I am confused on what you are trying to stack. From the question in the first post it seemed like you are trying to ask if you can stack the 2nd ability
