My dad asked me this: "You know {Time Ebb}, can you use that to pull back from your graveyard." I said no but then thought about it and said "at least I have never seen it used that way." Could some one confirm if you can use it this way or not.
If it is in the graveyard it is not an actual creature its a creature cards and they would specify too
If it said from the graveyard yes, and anyways r&d would specify too, plus that would screw up the color pie

Creature is a creature permanent in the battlefield. If they want to refer to creatures anywhere, they would say "creature card" or something.

He used to play back in Beta and he taught me how to play around Mirrodin when I was like 7. When my dad's friend who played Magic died around Dissension we both stopped playing for a while but I found out last summer (Just before M13 was released) that it was actually kind of popular in my town so I got back into it. Finally, a few months ago I was able to drag my dad back into it.
