Title: Combat phase
Post by: Anoobass on September 07, 2013, 02:30:04 AM
When does the combat phase actually end, I was just wondering if you gave a creature with double strike {Sword of Feast and Famine}, tap your lands once, deal first strike, untap all lands, tap all lands, deal normal combat, untap all lands, and retap for 3x mana and an annihilating fireball or something.  Or does the end of each combat step empty the mana?

Mana empties at the end of each phase and step. After the first damage step the mana would empty if you progressed onward.

Darn, would be an epic fireball though...still hope with {Omnath, Locus of Mana}...

If you can make that fireball an instant you can. To lazy to look up the cards to do that. Or a beast with flash works too

Well I was thinking more along the lines of {Aurelia's fury} but didn't feel like typing it.

Thank you for the correction though.
