Probably been said already, because the moment i saw {midnight guard} I thought of {presence of Gond}. Infinite 1/1 elves, and it's legal in modern.
Wow. This is a really good combo, and I know I haven't seen it before!
You can't even add {Rhys the Redeemed} to make it funnier. But {Doubling Season} makes everything better. Oh! And since it's white too might as well throw in {Sigil Captain}. =P

Yea I like that signal captain. Would help keep the elves from being wiped with a soft hitting black or red sweep.

If you're going infinite, double infinite is pretty pointless.
Use {Elemental Mastery} instead to get hasty dudes. If you've got the combo, you may as well win that turn. 😉
{Concordant Crossroads} and {Triumph of the Hoards} for the win!!
Yea in the sample deck I built i used idyllic tutors, summoner's pacts and concordant crossroads. Going the elf route gives the option of winning via inf mana. {Helix pentacle} + Titania, channeled or archdruid
I love my {Helix Pinnacle} deck!! It's my "not an elf deck" with a whole bunch of elves. {Elvish Guidance} + {Arbor Elf} is fun. Oh and don't forget about {Om-nom, Locus of Mana}!!

A counter for a combo? Of course there is.
But if something is pointed out then you can work to make the deck impervious to it!
For example all the new "token exclusive" cards would be of help. And since this deck is white, might as well run either Elspeth. ;D
