Very early build obviously as no room for lands yet...just getting thoughts
Still early build but I at least got it narrowed down somewhat lol
Tweaked a little more and added sideboard now going to bed...lol...as always thoughts are welcome
Too many non creature spells for effective domri. Might work if you cut the {Altar's reap} and add mana dorks or {child of night}. I personally love child, ESP with 'bad' Liliana
Try {mana bloom}. It's mana fixing + something to do turn 3 or 2. Looks like your deck is lacking turn 3 plays. Besides, it lets you rakdos return on turn 4 instead of 5. Mch more controlly.
I'm just going to assume {doom blade} and/or {ultimate price} is in the side.
Waaay to many {Altar's reap}.
You always make me rethink my decisions pirate...which I much appreciate...but I have to argue with you on {altar's reap}...main situation I have it in there is if I have vastwood and kalonian in attacking together and vastwood gets blocked I can cast altar...sac vastwood...add counters to kalonian and possibly draw removal for another blocker...thoughts?
That's really late game tho. You have 2 hydras on the field. What kind of competitive player would allow that unless he was just going to board wipe?
That's a turn 7 play with this deck.
If you want to keep that play open, I'd play a creature you could sac to. Plus, it'd work with domri

it could come in handy in other situations but I see your point...ill have to play test...what would you suggest to replace them? Maybe {hellhole flailer}?
That sounds reasonable. Works with rakdos witch, works with corpsejack, fills the 3 drop slot, sac-able with burn potential. I like it much more than vastborn and altar's reap
You have to see my reasoning behind {altar's reap} though. Your creatures are far to precious to kill on a whim. They're just to mana intensive. Vastborn alone is super hard to make worthwhile.

Completely agree...like I said...you make me rethink my thoughts lol
That's not always a bad thing :)
Changed this one around a bit...for the better or no?
{desecration demon} over the reaver, synergies better with the flow of your deck IMO!

I thought bout dezzy d but went with the reaver for more card advantage...I'm gonna have both in my black devotion deck thou
I would say drop to 1 {Mana Bloom} and 2 {Rakdos' Returns} for 4 {Elvish Mystic}. Then perhaps lose the {Lilliana's Reaver} for {Dreg Mangler}?
Only prob with going jund is to many good cards lol
Lol true
But {Mana Bloom} isn't that good, and {Dreg Mangler} has early aggressive vs Esper and scavenge late game post {Supreme Verdict}. And {Elvish Mystic} is almost necessary to be running a midrange build
I thought bout the mystic but decided {mana bloom} cuz it gives me any color and I can use it on my turn and my opponents turn...i put hellhole back in but am considering dreg now...does make sense with scavenge and {corpsejack menence}
This isn't much of an aggro deck tho. Much more control. And early Rakdos return almost guarantees a match win unless they're playing mono loxodon smiter.
And maybe consider {chromatic lantern} over ingot if you really need the mana fix/ramp.Post rotation Jund will need it

Wasn't sure which was best due to ingot being indestructible but gonna go with the lantern cuz worse case scenario ill make them use their mana to destroy it...thnx yo

Jesus! Hadn't seen him til I saw your post...ridiculous lol
I feel you could cut 1-2 sires from your side and add Ultimate price to your side. Its going to be a lot more useful next format. Hellhole flailer handles control matches by himself so 3 turn 7 demons is a bit excessive

You'd be playing a whole different deck if you wanted to play him or domri. Burning trees, 2-drops, Xenegos, fireballs, etc. Black would only be a splash

I'm def not putting him in this deck as there's not to many creatures...but I've got ideas brewing in the brain lol
LOVING the new duel lands in theros! Perfect for this deck
I thoroughly hate them. Guildgate + Scry should be uncommon.

I agree it's not good for aggro but it is great for midrange...but that's what they're aiming for in this set is to slow standard down
I know it's slower, which I prefer... But c'mon, rare? These things are worth $0.50, but they are gonna be $2-$5 because they are rare. That's such a price difference
Some changes...also replacing {manawelf sliver}s with {sylvan caryatid}s and {stomping ground}s with {temple of abandon}s after theros is released...thoughts?
Keep in {Stomping Ground}. Run both that and the Temple
wouldnt it be bad for every land to either come in tapped or cost me life?
Don't value your life total too much. That 2 life is better than them being an entire turn ahead of you
Value life to a certain extent. Use it like a resource, but remember constant use of it will eventually push you in the knockout zone. Running lifegain cards can help you find your balance.
personally, I don't entirely like playing every land tapped nor paying life to activate them. It's possible to play with basics.
You have to know what moves you take life for. Taking a shock to play X+1 instead of X when you cast Rakdos's Return is totally worth it.
Reason I chose stoning ground to replace with the temples is I'm guessing main reason I would shock would be for thoughtsieze turn one
One last question bout this deck and ill let this post die...lol...should I stick with {dreadbore} or switch to {hero's downfall} or run a mix? If a mix what should I pull? (Guess that was two questions but I swear I'm done now :)

Text on Heroi's downfall?
Exactly the same as dreadbore...destroy target creature or planeswalker...cost 1bb and its instant
I'd just play dread bore or whatever you have at the time
The difference between sorcery and instant is so crucial though, if they play walkers. It depends on the curve of the deck though
First off dome blade should be main in come capacity. Like at least 3. 2 mana instant removal is rare and powerful. Second the theros card read the bones is strictly better than alters reap and forts perfectly into the deck. Last I would max out cards like life bane zombie and the like. Hand destruction is so good right now. Ad by controlling hands ad creatures you are covered on all bases
Also veraska is super weak and should be maybe a 1 of. Do Chandra instead because she is extra draw and takes out dorks and life bane zombies as well as young pyromancer. Golgari charm is also weak put in doom blade for those and move then to the side

I can see your point on vraska...already taken her down to two in my newest revision...but have disagree on the charm...creature protection is vital when running so few...only 12 that can attack...and it covers detention sphere...but even with that aside it's an extra kill spell with the enchantment creatures coming in theros
How much do u think thought seize is going to decrease in price

How much do u think thought seize is going to decrease in price
You can preorder for $30 at starcity
Thought seize will not e over 30 in standard. Also you are meta gaming way to much with charm. Not all of the enchantments are standard playable and of the few that are playable half are indestructable. Regening creatures are good I guess but it is so reactive to what other people are playing that you will get blown out. Def side in against control matches but they are dead in aggro. You really want the removal spell more.
Deff need some card draw for a control deck(read the bones, underworld connections). You might also wanna consider a different removal package as well, switch a few decays for main board putrifys, one or two doom blades.
Four charms main deck is way overkill. Sadly there just aren't gonna be enough of the new creature/enchanents played in constructed to make that worth more than side board for that aspect, and when it comes to regen, things are gonna get killed, it's just part of the game, and there are better ways to play around it. Playing the control deck from the defensive is just a bad outlook to have going into it.
A new card I like for black control even as a one of is the black god. He turns off so many clock increasers with the no opponent life gain(sphinx's rev, unflinching courage, etc) as well as making devour flesh a way more versatile card all around. He is another card draw source, and all that is before he even turns into a creature.
Any two of {Desecration Demon}, {Lifebane Zombie}, and {Underworld Connections} turns him on. Pretty easy to make happen in jund really.
I don't know how to feel about the new lands yet other than to say I don't like more than a few guild gates in any deck. There's nothing worse than top decking something like that when you need one more mana.
As for creatures I like the line up. Ooze would be a solid fit here, and I would always love to see a one of sire in jund, but I might be the only one left
Changed and updated lineup...barely resembles first build lol

Much much weaker early game and no thragtusk to make up for it. Besides that, its still kinda weird. Play test it with proxies
I would prob cut the {Liliana's Reaver} for {Lifebane Zombie} and the hydras for {Gray Merchant of Asphodel} maybe one god and one whip for {Scavenging Ooze} and a return or two for doom blades.
I love jund and honesty had kinda given up on it post rotation, but I think I will build this to play the first week after.
Really wanted the reaver in but in the end it felt like I was forcing it when I knew lifebane was better...pulled underworld connections and one god for {read the bones}...pulled one {hero's downfall} and one rakdos's return in favor of {ultimate price} (which I feel will be better than doom blade due to devotion)...I will perfect this deck lol
Edit: also changed the sideboard a bit
