Title: Crouching Tiger...
Post by: NillaWafers on March 10, 2012, 04:40:40 PM
Never bothered to throw this deck together because it's more funny than practical but it's pretty straightforward. This is probably for the reanimator deck, or just Blue Back Shinanigans.

{Dimir Doppleganger} into {Nacatl War-Pride}, swing and surprise {Kokusho the Evening Star}!

Of course you could make the kitties into anything, but Koko Puffs would probably be my first choice cuz it's funny.

I thought about making a deck just for this combo and use {Hunted Dragon} and {Hunted Troll} and such. Never got around to it though. Didn't want to break apart my Reanimator Deck do soon lol

Now I want to make this deck too, if only for the sweet deck name. 😃 I have too many deck ideas and too little time. 😞

I know how you feel! If you do eventually throw something like it together, you have to tell me what your opponent's reaction is!!!    =D

Now that I think about it... It's not that expensive of a combo (mana wise) cus it's just your basic reanimate, and discard the kitties and Kokopuffs. Then pay for the Doppleganger's ability twice.

Very doable. A couple {Buried Alive}s... Standard reanimator config...

I just added this as a sideboard to my Reanimate deck. Just for the lulz of course. I suppose I'll post the deck to see if anyone has suggestions.

I have some Koko puffs, but no Dimirs of Nactls.

I'm still trying to upload my library of cards into this app but when you have thousands of cards spread all over you apartment... It's really hard! I'll have to take a look but I probably have loads to share if you care for it. Might not be worth the brain damage who knows? But they're not hard to get anyways. ^_^

Ha!  It would drive me nuts not to have my collection at least somewhat organized. If you find some, I'd definately trade.

It is driving me nuts. Any advice on organizing about 30 thousand some cards?

The way I've been organizing my cards is with seperate boxes.  One for white creatures, one for blue instants, one for green enchantments, ect.  Then you could arrange them by rarity or mana cost, although that may take quite awhile...

Would it be insane to want to organize by:

Set > color > rarity ~ with all rares separate?

With 30,000 cards? Probably. Mine are just sorted by set, but I know which card I want is in which set, so it makes it easier. I might suggest you make different boxes for each set, then if you still have the patience, do each color. (all of my rares are in a binder. That one idea.)

I find it important to organize by what's most important to you.
My ~25000 card collection is sorted thusly:

Set > color > commons/uncommons > creatures/non-creatures > casting cost > alphabetically

Rares and u/c worth >$0.75 are in binders

But, hey, that's just how I roll. 8)

Honestly Jester, I don't think I have the patience or sanity for that. Hats off to you though. In an ideal world I would do the same or at least very similar.

I'm not going to lie, it took some time. But I didn't do it all at once. Its easier I maintain order on a regular basis than to reorganize the chaos after things become a mess.

Yea, I used to have things in some sense of order. But then again, when your card pool suddenly and unexpectedly triples, whatcha gunna do? It's been my project to organize it these past couple months but honestly it makes me wanna cry sometimes. But hey, if I get my things in order then hopefully I can be of use to everyone here and share the fun.

Lolz. I'm sure organized or not you'd be of use here.

Maybe start by just organizing by set first. Once you have them in sets, you can always sort sets you don't really use much. I found it hard to sort sets that I keep building from. I have one of those long (2000 card?) cardboard card holders full of cards that need to get put away.  It's never empty.

That's brilliant! About the constantly circulating but needs to be sorted box. I think I might be able to do this. I'll have to get a few more 4-slot boxes though. Ah well. Step by step right?

Well for me, suddenly all the people around me stopped playing and said "hey you're still playing that game? want my cards?" because they knew the moment they moved out, their mother's would be tossing them anyways. So, lucky me. =D But yea it's always nice to get special surprises when you buy a lot.  ;D

Thanks for the help and ideas everyone. Or maybe for the help and encouragement?
  :P

No prob!
It seems like a lot of work, but I logged all my cards while watching tv at night. Now that I have my collection logged, it is hyper convenient!  I can build decks from my collection while waiting in a line somewhere and know exactly how many of a certain card I need.

Hahaha!! I'm no angel. ^_~ Far from it! (But thanks.) I just think the new art for Akroma was awesome because she looks a little bit more creepy....and she was insane after all.

Title: Re: Crouching Tiger...

Spoiler Alert? Akroma in a Nutshell :

So Jeska goes into a coma and is captured, then is transformed into Phage. Phage gets into a bitch fight and kills this other lady who happens to be this guy's Ixidor's wife. He goes and cries in a corner then decides he's gonna bring her back to life but that really doesn't work. So by using Mickey's Epic Paintbrush he creates this thing that looks like his ex-wife and this thing happens to be Akroma. So Akroma goes a flying off to kill Phage but instead gets her butt kicked... literally, also torn off. So her top half somehow flies back to Ixie and he says oh crap gotta save my wife. (He's not really all there either). So he develops a sudden fetish for cats and decides to fuse Akroma with a headless jaguar. She leads an army to war etc. etc. The end.

Personally I think I'd be nuts too.   :o
