Pretty steep! He emailed me back and said he charges 50 for a life counter and 80 for a counter made into a dice box, if you provide the cards to be used to form the 3D effect. I might be getting a Ral Zarek 😍

That's awesome! I'm actually tempted to make my own as well, but it's definitely worth the money. He says he doesn't so it to make any money, it just takes him 5-8 hours to do so I think it's very reasonably priced! Someone on Instagram that does them (not as well I might add) said he charges 140-160...

Nevermind, found a youtube video. Making a {Swift Justice} and then a {Ethereal Armor}. If I can find some cheap {Lightning Helix}es would LOVE to do that too.

This is what I made, beads I bought were too big to put 10 so I had to wing it. There are 5 total gates, 3 are cut slightly, last one not at all and first one everything but the outside so it adds extra depth. All are foiled so it shines really nice. Hope u guys like.

Looks good! The beads I bought were too big also, I found beads of the right size in Walmart in the Arts and Crafts section. They are glass beads and come in a a little hard plastic rectangular prism.
Yea, I looked at all my Walmart had, but wasn't a big selection so I just went with that. Wasn't horrible but hey.

You don't have to use all of the same card, as long as the front and back are the same card. To find out how much height you want, take you bead and hold it to the side of a stack of cards then adjust until the stack is a little thicker than your bead. ^pretty much, I picked a card that had several layers so cutting each separately added extra depth. I think anywhere between 4-6 "extras*" in between is a good number but if you only have like 1 layer obviously any will do.
* useless cards (usually lands) just filling the space between the "art" cards.
Don't use that, use proposal, the card Richard used to propose to his girlfriend in a magic game. Only 3 copies ever printed.

I severely dislike this card after it being used on me in a myr deck. I decline to even think about making it into a counter... But it would prolly look cool.

Jace Beleren life counter anyone?
Anime jace life counter plox. I want to do it but I love all 3 I my Jace's too much to cut them up. 1 English beleren, 1 foil anime beleren, 1 ftv foil mind sculpter. Would look so sweet but could never do it.
I thought you used like a print out of each card on a box over a land card. Did not think you used an actual card being cut up for these
Most of the cards I use I have several playsets, so it makes no difference.
Making ones from {urban burgeoning}, {goblin bushwacker}, and {nissa's chosen}. Man, step 1 of bushwacker is hard...
Keep in mind, the more detail, (leaves and such) the bigger the pain in the arse. I try to avoid them but some look far too good to resist.
