Does the {Wrath of God} effect belong in white with {Wrath of God} or in black with {Damnation}?
DAMNATION!!!
Flavour-wise, it works in either.
{Wrath of God} is an icon, {Damnation} is a mimic.

Only because {Wrath of God} has been printed in like 14 sets while {Damnation} has only been printed once.

Also 3 editions (Alpha, Beta and Alternate 4th) of {Wrath of God} cost more than {Damnation} one of them is worth like 12 times what {Damnation} is worth.

Obviously lol but my point is that you can't get a damnation cheap. Wrath you can. Sets be damned. Still the point.
I like damnation more than wrath. I say this because wrath doesn't sound as cool as damnation. Lol
Black is about power not about cleansing. Sure death comes with black power but the cleansing type effect of wrath is very white. Sacrificing an pin point killing is much more black.

That's why I like {Damnation} it is a board wipe that black doesn't have. And to have it as a near copy of Wrath, is good, because this is not an effect any black deck has.
I'd have to give this to white as opposed to black. Black is more spot removal. Also there's a reason they never reprinted damnation
They never reprinted damnation because that set was to put cards in different colors. Like people in different shoes. Damnation was one of them. The reason I like damnation is because its the only black board wipe an a solid one.
I love them both, but flavor wise, i would say White for one reason:
"Damnation" could be a White card and still be flavorful while Wrath of God could not be Black since it only fits with White flavor
How quickly everyone forgets the power of {Mutilate}?
Well, right now in Extended, the main wrath colors are {W}{B}{R} i.e.({Wrath of God},{Damnation},{Blasphemous Act}).
Wrath effects belong in White.
The only reason black got damnation was because the set is called planar chaos. It breaks the color pie. However I secretly hope for damnation.....

Damnation and Wrath of God are not in extended lol
Last time I checked, no cards were in extended. ;)
They both fit, in my opinion.
White - order/cleansing. The battlefield is made pure and clean.
Black - death/darkness, strength by any means. Slaughter everything in sight, even your allies, if it benefits you.
My question is... Where does blue fit in? I mean, {Supreme Verdict}?

Most competitive decks in almost all formats right now are multicolor so {Mutilate} is an iffy card and {Damnation} and {Wrath of God} are both better options at this point.
All three Wrath colors have theor own ways p clearing the feild
{W} - White talks about purity and honor and destroys anythig that does harm to it.(i.e. {Wrath of God}, {Akroma's Fury}, {Planar Cleansing},{Day of Judgement})
{B} - Black does it the form of counters. (i.e. {Mutilate})
{R} - Red does it by burning everything.(i.e. {Blasphemous Act},{Worldfire})

I would think {Syncopate} fits the description of mana-leaking more.
