Title: Chandra Pyromaster question
Post by: SPiNx975 on August 22, 2013, 03:37:28 PM
her +0 ability says exile top card you may play it this turn... does this mean you have to cast it using mana or that you can free cast it? may be a dumb question...

Short answer you have to pay the cost.

If this was Jace then yes you could cast it for free but wizards is very talented at making very disappointing Chandras.

I prefer {Chandra Balaar}. Comes in with 6 for 5 with an AWESOME ultimate turn 8.

I would say for  {Chandra, Pyromaster} her ultimate is not shabby as given the right construct that could be a potential winning move. I played her a few times and almost every time I played the ulti I won.

Maybe it's luck.

On topic: if a spell can be played without costs, the card would say so.
