So I recently made a {Doran, the Siege Tower} EDH, I have compiled a bunch of creatures for this deck but obviously lower casting cost higher defense is the the better options in this deck to fully take full potential of Doran, so what creatures come to mind when u guys think of this?
Also is it worth it to run some ramp in here? Mana dorks? Spells?
Lastly what are good ways to protect {Doran, the Siege Tower}? I have in {Indestructibility}, {Mask of Avacyn}, what are the best ways of protection?
Sadly, you can't protect from a board wipe. But some Artifacts that might help are: {Champion's Helm}, {Swiftfoot Boots}, {Lightning Greaves}, and {Whispersilk Cloak}.
Also, here is a deck that had some great ideas to build around. I know it's not an EDH, but it made me want to run Treefolk decks for LIFE after looking at it: http://www.mtgvault.com/zxc/decks/unstoppable-treefolk/
Hope this helps!
No offense but this is edh and is a completely different format from the deck u showed

No offense to you sir either but at least she was posting something of use while all you posted was a comment to put her down, and anyway I do appreciate her posting that because almost all treefolk pretty much make use of {Doran, the Siege Tower}'s ability, so that deck she posted actually gave me some good ideas, please try to be respectful of others
:\ I thought I stated it wasn't an EDH deck, but that it has some good ideas (such as creatures and other spells) to draw from. I'm sorry if you misunderstood....
{Tree of Redemption}?
So when it blocks it deals 13 damage to the attacker? Ok!

I know defeders can attack, i just dont think its a good choise to spend a lot o card slots in a deck and pray for the lords of the odds to get lucky and be able to attack...
Of course its extremely fun, but i dont know...
I still think that a great use to doran is use some great ramping spells and thinks like {death grasp}, {exsanguinate}, {debt to the deathless} & stuff... All this together with {brawn} and some treefolks is VERY powerfull!
But hey, thats just my humble opinion :P
{Darksteel Plate} can protect from board wipes.
If removal like {Path to Exile} is popular, use {Lightning Greaves}...

I would assume {Rolling Stones} works the same as {Animate Wall} that it only affects walls and not just a defender of a different type?
{Trestle Troll} son.

Correct. Rolling Stones is simply the global version of the animate wall aura
{Guardians of Akrasa} {Pontiff of Blight} {Palisade Giant} k, think I'm done....
For now!
{Cemetery Gate}
{Wall of Bone}
{Wall of Mulch}
{Blightwidow}, {Tangle angler}, and {reaper of sheoldred} can end games quickly
You need to ask yourself, how you hope/want to win. Once you can answer that question you can really start to focus on the cards you need to add.

Chinese Proverb?
To be truly competitive, the best way to think about Doran is to think of him as a 5/5 for 3, not his other ability. You want to get him out turn 3 and immediately be putting enchantments and equipment on him such as {Sword of Light and Shadow}, {Sword of Feast and Famine}, etc. to make him big enough to kill on turn 5 or 6. Then run lots of black kill spells, white exiles, {Stoneforge Mystic}, tutors like {Demonic Tutor}, etc to get ur equipment and deal with blockers.

This is the problem that is making edh less funny in my metagame...
Its all about who drops a sword faster and gg .-.
This ain no f. edh!
Thats why i like BIG TABLE edh more than duel... The one who drops a sword faster is the one with a red dot in his head!

I do agree here, I run Mono Blue {Lorthos, the Tidemaker} and Mono Red {Norin, the Wary}, both are a blast to play and aren't so Spike. It just depends on what the deck maker is looking for.
Swords are great but not game Enders, at least in my exp. I think he was just suggesting a build type, ie equipment deck to swing big and protect your commander.

Haha..I guess, but it is what I ask myself as I build my decks. In my experience it greatly helps to guide during the process and to keep it how you intended the deck to be.
