More {Spreading Seas}. You need 3 but not four. (mabye)
Cavern of Souls is just lackluster in this type of deck. It stops a turn one island and running anymore than 5 non basics is weak for the speed of Mono U Merfolk since I don't run Thirst for Knowledge.
Running 3 main board isn't as great as it sounds. They are too weak in a lot of games and could clog my hand up more with less tempo based cards. I only side in four against UWR Control, Tron and Scapeshift mostly. Having two keeps my ability to draw easier and a better chance of top decking a better card as well.

I have. I don't like it as much as Spreading Seas since it doesn't hate against lands.
