Why did my karma go down? :( I was positive, but then go 2 -1's.i wasn't mean, so I don't know what I did. Will people look at my karma and not trust me? :(
Don't worry about it. The karma system is known to be rough on new members. And the post that people gave you -karma for is really a silly reason to reduce your karma for (in my opinion at least), as you have every right to value your own trades by whatever price guide you choose. However, karma is everyone's to give or take as they see fit, as free speech. So, unfortunaly, these kind of karma hits just happen, but no one will mistrust you for them. The best advice is to not worry about it - it's just a number, and will naturally fix itself upward as you continue to post and be a respectable member.
You can see which posts you made that people have given you + or - for by clicking karma on your personal profile page, or with the link in the "Karma Log" sticky in the announcements section. The idea behind the system is so you can look at which posts you've had liked, so you can look and reflect on what the community appreciates and likes, or see what they've disliked, so you can learn kind of posts people don't like seeing. It's not a perfect system, by any means, but if used correctly it can be a great learning tool.
