Suugestion: try adding mutavaults. 4/3 flying vampire land sound fun?

Spaced that card. In all honesty, I don't want to use it just because this deck is roughly $50 and I don't want to put too much into it.  However, I really do like that idea.

Your current deck list is cheaper than $50. I'd guess it was around $30 (non foiled). Mono black is still super cheap to make.

Average is $59.62

The blood artist does seem like it fits in the deck. The lilianas don't look like they fit either. The only cool play I see with them is to -3 and charge with life linking vampire nighthawk.

I haven't been able to play test yet, but with the 10-12 removal spells, it seems decent. And it's a two drop beater with nocturnus out. And I don't see anything wrong with a T3 nighthawk to T4 Lili boost

Plus, her +1 does have some relevance for the midrange-ish cmc (nocturnus, corrupt, blah blah)

It's a gross overestimate. Liliana is the only value card in the deck.

Money cards don't make a deck?  Artists are $3 a pop, Nocturnus is $3 a pop, mutilates are $2-$3 a pop, etc etc. just because I don't have any {Liliana of the Veil}s or anything doesn't mean there is no value at all.

25 is too much land and you have liliana ramp I would cut it down to 23-24

Why does it matter? Magic is a game that's meant to be enjoyed, and if you could do it cheaper, all the better!

Sweet deck though man! A one or two of {necropolis regent} could be fun here

Valid point. What else should I put in?  I'm thinking full out the playset of nocturnus for starters

She's really nice against control. Constantly hitting land drops and drawing new cards is a must.

Have you considered child of night over blood artist? It provides more of a defense and it'll work with the liliana -3 ability. If you're playing any deck with mana dorks, setting up blood artist of kill spell will cost you 3-5 life off the bat

Cut it down to 23 and add another and add Andorher nocturn, and blood artist because it is sooo good with all your removal and mutalate

Actually, yeah, I had thought about {Child of Night}. I may swap them out.

I'll give both ways a try and see what comes out better!

Worst deck advice I've heard in a long time. He might as well play Army of the Damned. It'd do more good than the regent.

You should be able to get blood artists for 0.50-1.00 and promo vamp nocturnus for 0.75-1.50. The promos are cheaper than the core set editions. Mutiliate is down as well because its rotating out.

Looked around and artists were $2.50-$3 and nocturnus is around $3 everywhere.

And I actually thought about regent as a one-of at first. I think that if I want to run her, I should probably run another Lili or something to ramp a little more smoothly.

I like a one or two of the regent. I also really like the child of night here.
Also have you considered using  {Door of Destinies}?

Try checking around. Sometimes your local game/card store prices will cost 2-3x more than online prices. $2-3 for an uncommon is ridiculous.

There are some good online vendors who'll sell them at the prices I mentioned. Sadly, I don't think i can post some links without breeching some TOS. It's probably be better to buy Inistrad packs because it still has a really high EV.

My lgs didn't have anything lol. Literally not a single card I needed. I didn't delve too deep online, but I didn't find em too cheap :-\
