Title: Rite of replication+strionic resonator
Post by: Moocow4u2 on August 12, 2013, 06:04:20 PM
My {rite of replication} has a kicker where if it was kicked, put 5 of those tokens instead... If I used {strionic resonator}'s ability to copy a triggered effect, would the kicker count as a triggered effect in this case? It does say ">IF it was kicked< put 5 of those tokens instead" and since the replicator lets me pick new targets, could I put 5 of 1 creature and 5 of another??

Kicker is not a trigger.

It's an additional cost:

702.31a Kicker is a static ability that functions while the spell with kicker is on the stack. "Kicker [cost]" means "You may pay an additional [cost] as you cast this spell." Paying a spell's kicker cost(s) follows the rules for paying additional costs in rules 601.2b and 601.2e-g.

Also, kicker is mana.
