If I have out a {Barren Glory} and then play a {Dimensional Breach}, would returning Barren Glory to play at the beginning of my upkeep activate Barren Glory's ability? Of course no cards in hand.
I was thinking it would because it comes into play at the beginning of upkeep. Or would it have to be in play before my upkeep, not during the beginning of my upkeep.

{Barren Glory} {Dimensional Breach} I would think it would work but I don't know
Hmmm I just thought about the stack...
At the beginning of your upkeep, all "At the beginning of your upkeep," abilities activate and are put on the stack. Once they resolve, the beginning of your upkeep is over. So I don't believe it would work.
Ba humbug. Unless someone can prove me wrong. Which I welcome because I want that combo to work. Haha

Because you are the active player don't you get to organize all of the abilities however you want to as long as they all go on the stack at the same time?

Yes, you do get to choose the order, but because Barren Glory isn't in play before the beginning to put it's ability on the stack during the beginning, it wouldn't work.
I think this would work because you get to choose the order in which they resolve. It's confusing but it works. Play dimensional breach, exiling everything, at the beginning of your upkeep, the enchantment returns and then triggers. Gg

Here's what I see.
1) Barren is on the board.
2) Board wipe into exile
3) First upkeep, Glory returns. Its ability doesn't happen since you already missed the beginning of the upkeep
4) Next upkeep. Glory's ability checks and board wipe return goes on the stack. Pick what goes on the stack at what time
5) Assuming you want to win, Glory goes off first. GG
This, gents, is your correct answer.

Assuming that you could somehow get rid of the card that you drew last turn.
That's confusing^

During step 3 {barren glory} will return to the battlefield, followed by you drawing a card. The next upkeep you need only {barren glory} on the battlefield as well as no hand, since you drew last turn, and you had no mana, unless it was a 0 cost that does basically nothing, you still couldn't win because you couldn't fulfill the second part of {barren glory}.
TL:DR - good luck trying to win with this combo
Good catch, forgot about the no cards in hand part. Can still work though, there are a few 0-cost suspend cards that would allow it to happen, or cards with discard effects.
Well no opponent would make you discard and win the game so what effect are you talking about?
Run {One With Nothing} to get rid of your hand.
Echo effect from {deepcavern imp} or a tap effect like {Cinderhaze Wretch}
You could also have some Phyrexian mana 1-drops like {Surgical Extraction} in the deck that you can pay 2 life to get rid of.
Edit: derp, those permanents would be exiled, wouldn't they? Lol. I'm sure there are ways to discard it though
It seems that {surgical extraction} would work if that was your draw, but it still seems like rather difficult win con. Not doubting it in the right circumstances but just don't see it working but maybe 1/100.
