So i was watching BBD vs CVM(if you don't know them they are professional writers and players for StarCity games. BBD was playing American flash/control and CVM was playing g/r aggro.
Anyway, watching BBD play control well.. He is not good at playing control, he should stick to junk rites. Anyway do you ever hate watching bad control players... It's so painful.
It's disappointing. But sometimes unavoidable. If its a deck your unfamiliar with, such as a deck you've just made, your liable to make a mistake or two that you wouldn't have if you did a little more play testing. We've all done things that we wished we hadn't a second after it resolved lol.

Hahah you bet we have. I also think that control decks have a much steeper learning curve. It's tempting to counter lots of spells and takes a lot of discipline to let some of them resolve and save that counterspell for a card that's a game changer. I'm sure anybody that's played control at least once has wasted that counter when they wished they hadn't.
We (my friends and I) call messing up in control "missing the Archon" because in a control on control match my opponent countered something stupid late game (like an {Ethereal Armor} or something) and I played an {Archon of the Triumvirate} the same turn (but after the counterspell was out of his hand) which ended up winning me the game.

You hit the nail on the head! That's the point I was pretty much trying to make and it's the most embarrassing/frustrating feeling
Yeah but you know if your a pro and that's how you make a livening you would think they would be good at playing control, I also think that BBD has a disavantage because he talks about his cards, this also might be the reason for the playmistakes.
Everyone (including the pros) make mistakes/misplays. They're human too :P but yeah I get what you're saying
Yeah no ones perfect,
A misplay from the control player i was against won me a sexy chandra playmat today, i have no complaints lol

^ THIS! <3
But I have to say, sometimes you counter things that NEED to be countered......then they drop another bomb and there's just nothing you can do. The joys and woes of the waiting game called "Control".
