Title: Equipment and Tapping
Post by: Subiskier on August 09, 2013, 04:55:09 PM
When an equipped creature attacks does the equipment tap with it? If you untap the equipment does the creature untap?

No and yes. If you attack the equipment does tap and if you untap the equipment the creature doesn't untap.

What I'm getting at is trying to make synergy out of {bludgeon brawl} and tap artifacts like {ratchet bomb} and such. If its equipped to a creature can I tap it to add a counter to ratchet bomb? Does it move independently of the creature? Does it tap the creature with it?

Yes, it remains independent of the creature. If you equip ratchet bomb to a creature with bludgeon brawl, then attack with creature, the bomb is still untapped and may tap for a counter (or to explode).

And if you somehow untap the bomb, the creature will remain tapped.
