Title: Ps4 and Xbox one
Post by: Imink on August 09, 2013, 12:13:43 AM
Is anyone exited for next gen releases? Are you gonna buy the new consoles? Any games people are looking forward to? What next gen console is better in your opinion? I'm really looking forwards to the ps4 myself.

In all honesty, the more I see about next gen consoles, the more beautiful my computer looks. Little fed up with consoles and a lot of people that play them. Too fanboy-y. If I had to pick one, I'd go with ps4. I like Windows OS, but Microsoft screws their customers totally in Xbox. Then they talk about what the Xbox one is going to be, then realize its crap and decide to make a playstation 4 named Xbox one :-\. And with Gears and Halo both in the toilet, I don't have any exclusives pulling me towards Xbox.

On the other hand, if The Last of Us and the FFX remake were to be ported to PC, I would never have an urge to buy a console again :P  But, I want both of those.  Stupid exclusives

Gears and Hall were the only things I got an xbox for haha. Planning on getting another PC soon to start playing again. But I'm definetly getting a ps4. The kinect is bogus the fact that you can't turn it off is outlandish. Sony all the way

I'm buying my ps4, Watchdogs, Kingdom Hearts 3, and then pray to god I didn't just waste that much money on something for only 2 games.

In all honesty, I've been keeping up with the two coming up to the launch.  And the more I look at them, the more I hate them.  Ps4 may be running on DRM as per the very first update which is a mandatory download, nothing is running on 1080p anymore as promised by the systems "next gen capacity". Unlike Wii U which does have multiple games running on 1080p.  Never like XBox for some reason.  Sony always brought me back with content, but I find myself waiting with great eager on games like Nosgoth, and gaming on Dota 2 then I ever did with any other game on a console (pc games).

Honestly I will buy the two systems for the two games, but I won't like it when that is exactly what I will remain to have that console sitting like a brick.  :/

If it sounds like I'm pissed right now, I have side and stomach pains right now, and I keep thinking of my appendix bursting, God hope that doesn't happen.  So I am kind of irritable.  Oh well, just my take on this whole debacle.

Heh, I've done that twice now.  Bought a 3DS XL for Pokemon and Fire Emblem and a PS3 for The Last of Us and Final FantasyX/X-2 HD.  Although, I'm looking at the newest Ratchet and Clank games and maybe Tales of Xillia.  Heard good things about Tales of Xillia.

How is The Last of Us? I'm caught up on my games and need something new to play. Been looking at that. Pretty good?

Last Of Us was amazing IMO.  I've had people disagree, but it is very few.  Story is awesome, and I heard they are making that a series. :)

I didn't know there was another ratchet and clack coming out.  It better be like crack in time, but harder.  I want a challenge nowadays.

Why not buy the 2DS instead of 3DS.  I found that good due to backwards  combatable.  And it is surprisingly comfortable to hold.  And it doesn't break easily (happens to be my 3 DS now, so my wallet is crying with shouts of joy because this thing won't break). And I honestly found the 3D to be annoying, so I'm happy the ousted that.

All I'll is, you'd regret putting it off more than you had to. The last of us, sure it's a game. But its much more than that. It's an experiance you share with the characters. And the writing is as good if not better than the walking dead.

The Last of Us was fantastic.  And rather difficult IMO.  The story paled in comparison to Heavy Rain (man I love that game) but it was still very much worth the ~$40

"I play Payday, DOTA, TF2, Elder Scrolls, and CoD... I get to uh... Kill stuff...great story and all..."

I started The Last of Us this weekend. You guys are right. It's so good. This is what a "zombie" survival game should be like.

The Last of Us reminds me a lot of Dishonored in that supplies are very limited, similar difficulty level (you can easily spend an hour trying to get out of one little area in both games,) and being stealthy is more to your advantage. Taking on a group of enemies seldom pays off.

I haven't tried dishonored yet, not sure about it...

Any funny games recently, I know deadpool made me laugh.

Exactly!  It's great!  I think my biggest problem was shivs for the first four hours of the game or so.  Damn clickers.

Those clickers man. It took me an hour and a half to get out of the subway in the beginning. Five clickers and only three shivs. It was tough.

Lol, I just went to shiv master because of my shiv problem.I forgot what else killed them, it has been awhile.

Have fun when you meet Big Daddy (as I call them because it reminds me of bioshock for some strange reason) they are a pain.

Hahaha never thought of that. I'll have to pay attention to the "big daddy" next playthrough!  I had seen some part of the game on YouTube (huge mistake!) and knew to go straight for shivs haha.

That part took me awhile too. I eventually just went with the ".love. it, I'm gonna spam molotovs" approach haha

THATS WHAT IT WAS!  Thank you for jogging my memory.  I remember shooting them in the face point blank works too. ;)
