Title: Giselle
Post by: NuclearChicken on August 08, 2013, 04:44:28 PM
{Gisela, Blade of Goldnight}, in commander say someone clones the original. Then I clone. Does the remanding guy take 6x the damage? And I take 2x? Or how would this work.
Player 1 has the original
Player 2 has a clone
Player 3 has a clone
Player 4 does not

It should work out as follows:

A player with Gisela hits a player with Gisela: 2x damage (two Giselas bring it to 4x and the third halves it).

A player with Gisela hits a player without Gisela:
8x damage (all three Gisela double it, 2x 4x then 8x).

A player without Gisela hits a player with Gisela:
2x (two Gisela bring it to 4x and the third halves it).

Semi related, if I had a  {Mirror Gallery} out and had 4  {Gisela, Blade of Goldnight}s out, would it bring about the same effect of stacking the multiples and do 16x damage?

No, because Gisela is legendary. You can only have one out at a time.

That's what {Mirror Gallery} is for.

Anyway yeah, that would work. See also {Parallel Lives} and {Rhox Faithmender}, which stack similarly.

Block a 16/16 trample with a 1/1, kill his creature, keeps yours and take 0 dmg, would never happen but that would be hilarious.
