My order IMO:
1. Alpha Duals (pretty sure everyone agrees)
2. Shocks
3. Fetches
4. Checks
5. Fast lands
6. The lands that become creatures (can't remember the names)
I like fetches over shocks
It's a definite toss up but Idk it depends on your deck I feel like 3+ colour decks fetches are better but I play 2 colour so to me Im not in need of that kind of mana fix. Plus you're fetching your shocks anyway so I think shocks are better
What the heck are check lands? Stuff like {sulfur falls}?
Ya isn't that what you call them?
Lands that become creatures are called "tapped manlands" ex. {Celestial Colonnade}. How does everyone feel about Life-gain taplands like {Sejiri Refuge}

A slightly better Guildgate
They are slow, they gain you 1 life which is meh and they aren't mountain, forest, etc. so I don't like them
1. Old dualies
2. Fetches
3. Shocks
4. Manlands (love me some {Celestial Colonnade})
5. Check lands
6. Filter lands
7. Pain lands
The very bottom. Guildgates
Life gain lands and dual lands that make you take one land back to your hand are my favs.
I personally do not consider fetch lands as dual lands... I consider them more as enablers

True but they still are duals

How so? You can't tap them for mana. That's why I consider them enablers. They enable you to get to the mana, but don't actually give you mana.

They are called Karoo lands. Named after a cycle that started with {Karoo}

Just learned something today! Thanks :D and that land is beautiful.

My fave is the guildgates. Mainly because my format of choice is pauper.
I'm i the only one who really likes check lands ?! 😝
Like the SoM lands in my quick weenie decks
1. AB Duals
2. Fetches
3. Shocks
Everything else is moot and is determined more by what type of deck you're playing.

I got you, checklands are amazing! Turn one tapped {Sacred Foundry} and now you can cast {Clifftop Retreat}, {Sunpetal Grove}, {Rootbound Crag}, {Dragonskull Summit}...without them tapping. Got to love it!
I have no interest in expensive duals, so my list is:
1. Fetches
2. Shocks
3. Future sight lands (eg {Horizon Canopy})
4. Filter lands
5. Check lands
6. Pain lands

I know right ?!
They work so well with Shock lands !! 😝
Hence why there are so many 3 coloured decks
Are all fetches good? How bout like {Bad River}

I actually use {Bad River} in a deck. The only downside is it comes in tapped and is pretty much useless if you don't play it T1.
What about the tainted lands? Examples: {Tainted Peak}, {Tainted Field}

I really like them, I actually sold a playset (with one foil) to a guy last Friday for his legacy deck

I actually would like for them to revisit that type of cycle. Dual lands if the controller controls an appropriate land type. Sounds like something for a return to Zendikar
That actually sounds like something they might do for Theros because it forces you to run basics, if it weren't for the Ravnica Shocks that are also basic land types.

The rarest dual land, as it wasnt in alpha
