I summon {Sin Collector} and my friend thinks he can counter it before I can use its ability. True or false?
True. It's ability happens/triggers when it enters the battlefield. Counterspells such as {cancel} stop the spell while it is still on the stack, preventing it from getting to the battlefield in the first place.
Edit for clarification: it would be different if the ability said 'when you cast [cardname]' as opposed to 'when [cardname] enters the battlefield.'
Jeez youre all over the rules today.
As a side note destroying it with {searing spear} or something wont change the fact he entered the battlefield and wont stop the ability.

How can you take the test? Is there some kind of class you have to take and where do you sign up?
Nevermind, googled it
Congrats!
