What is your opinion and why? Personally I think it's {Pithing Needle}, it may not seem like much, but think of everything it stops, {Ætherling}, {Olivia Voldaren}, planeswalkers, utility lands and most decks aren't running any artifact hate. Second choice would be {Burning Earth} simply because of the land being used in meta game.

I didn't think Pithing Needle was Standard, unless it was reprinted. And Olivia's abilities are mana based.....so it wouldn't stop her.
Nevermind, I see where it was reprinted. But the second part of my argument still stands. Nevertheless, that card is pretty mean.

A mana ability is an activated ability that creates mana (such as with {Llanowar Elves}, {Birds of Paradise}, and {Ur-Golem's Eye}), or a triggered ability that triggers off of mana creation and makes more mana itself (such as with {Overgrowth} or the last ability on {Gauntlet of Power}).
{Snapcaster Mage} in my opinion. After it leaves standard, then I'd say {Ætherling}, especially since {U}{G}, {U}{R}, and even {U}{G}{R} is possible for bloodrush and other {G} pumps.
Everyone hates on {Rakdos's Return}

LMAO! That's a ridiculous combo I can't believe I never thought of
You can't name single most powerful card because how powerful a card is, is all relative to the other hundred actions and reactions going on in the game. For example, is {Hero's Reunion} a powerful card? It is when you have {Sanguine Bond} or {Archangel of Thune} out. Pay {W}{G} to gain 7 life, your opponent loses 7 life and every creature you control gets a +1/+1 counter, sounds good. Although if I have to choose, I would say Shocklands are the most powerful cards in standard because they provide us with an extraordinary land base that allows us to have these crazy multi-color decks.
{deathrite shaman}
I would say {Thundermaw Hellkite}.
{Kalonian Hydra}......because X_x

Omg......Nicol, my love!
Post is not related Hehe the realization that he's in standard has made me want to buy the pieces for a Grixis control deck before he rotates.

An eight drop? Yes he one of the most powerful cards that is never played in standard. In competitive standard he is almost unplayable, in fact I have never seen Bolas at an FNM
It doesn't matter! I fell in love with him the moment we laid eyes upon each other, and although I can only play him in my Grixis EDH deck, he's worth tapping all those sweet little manas..... <3

He could see play. While not much, I'd almost always run a 1-of in Grixis control. He's one of those cards that hits the field, and your opponent just scoops. So fun to use!
{Progenitor Mimic} is also a great one.

I've seen him in 5 color and anything running {Omniscience}
I would say its between {Mountain} {Forest} and {island} maybe {Plains} or {Swamp}
{Wild Beastmaster} (my one true love) bc who doesn't love to give creatures a huge pump. Put her with a {Champion of Lambholt} and bloodrushed her and not only do you swing for big your opponent can't block bc of how big you Champion is!! Just a great card especially for Bloodrush and nobody (but me) plays her!!!

Ikr, got a +1 for that, he is right, a good deck will have at least 15 of those in any combination.

I run 2 of him, 3 vs control when I use grixis control. I run about 27 lands and a playset of {crypt ghast} though.... but as soon as he hits people tend to start panicking :)

Him with the previously mentioned {Arbor Elf} for a T2 Domri is awesome your opponent is like whaaaa? And you're like ya that just happened.
Sliver tokens are beast
{Assemble the Legion} and {Descent into Madness} and stuff to boost counters make a ridiculous combo

I play 4 in my standard deck, and I'll be playing 4 in my modern deck... When I get around to building it...
