Anyone heard of this "Pauper Commander"? It's where your commander is an uncommon creature and your deck must be all common cards. My brother told me about it. I am going to make a deck. Seems like a neat way to utilize unused cards sitting around the house. I'm thinking my commander will be either {Bloodbraid Elf}, {Baleful Strix}, or one of the guildmages. Does anyone have a Pauper EDH? If so, who is your general? If you don't have one, who would you build?
It's pretty fun actually. My friends and I play different variations. One is: Only your general can be rare/mythic & the rest must be common & uncommon. The second is: You can have as many colors as you want in your deck, but your general HAS to be a mono color (that one is hilarious because sometimes it's difficult to get your general out of the command zone).
The Pauper to the People guys are always talking about pauper EDH. If I made one (may eventually if I can convince some people to do it with me,) I'll go with {Diregraf Captain} for my captain. Mainly for the buff, and if I wanted to play .politics..

Ya our play group also does the non legendary Rare general with a common and uncommon deck. A lot of fun, that mono green Birds of Paradise general ftw

Yes i have :) we had a pauper commander tourney at my school, first place was 12 rav packs and a foil} utvara hellkite}.
I used {Hellhole flailer} and i absolutely destroyed everyone! :)
Not sure what happened up there but it wont let me edit it lol^
Well hopefully you can understand it :)
It gives the card named null
Good job, That_Guy, you broke the Internet!! 😜
Seriously though, I don't understand why that happens every once in a while lol
Awww i brokeded the internet :( now i cant watch por... I mean youtube
You can't quote anything from this area but I've been kicked off of google earth for looking at the in White House
I'm working on a deck with {Dryad Arbor} as the commander. All 1 drop green spells and no other lands. I play my general as my land drop and i don't need to worry about additional cost to cast him because he's just a land
This form of play seems awesome. Gonna have to make a deck in this form.
Can't quote, not sure what's going on. But are you sure the additional mana cost rule wouldn't apply to {Dryad Arbor}?
Sorry monneekahh 😁
And i cant edit so moneekahh*

Well Noah and I made decks and played. I chose {Bloodbraid Elf} and he chose {Bronzebeak Moa} as commanders. It's a really fun way to play I highly recommend everyone make one! :)

In pauper edh the general is an uncommon, but the deck is all commons
The general has to be uncommon? It can't be a common?
So {blizzard spectre} is a legal commander?
